Hugo is a Production Engineer at Hive, bringing over a decade of hands-on experience in renewable energy systems, battery technology, and power electronics. With a strong foundation in electrical and mechanical engineering, he has led production environments from prototype to ISO-certified manufacturing, managed cross-functional teams, and delivered complex energy systems across the UK, Ireland, and international projects including West Africa and the United States. His background bridges technical excellence with practical problem-solving — from PCB assembly and testing, to field deployment, remote monitoring, and system optimisation.
Beyond his technical depth, Hugo brings a collaborative and creative approach shaped by an arts-focused education and a passion for innovation. He thrives in fast-paced environments, improving production workflows, refining product designs, and mentoring engineering teams. His experience in clean-tech innovation, system commissioning, and customer-facing support makes him a valuable addition to Hive as we continue advancing high-performance media technology.
